  1. Some real nice Rangies on here, so I thought I would show you mine. All the way from the convict colonies. The green one is currently stripped ready for a bob tail chop. But I'm a bit nervous, as I have never done a chop before, don't want to stuff it up.
  2. Does anyone know of one of these converters that uses imperial sizes. I have upgrades from 225/75 x 16 to 35 x 12.5 x 15 and have no idea what speed I am doing.
  3. The rangie hand brake is on the gearbox. What have you done, used the patrol hand brake set up on the centre floor and patrol cable setup to rear diff?
  4. One more thing, how did you solve your handbrake problem, or haven't you tackled that one yet?
  5. How is the conversion going, Will? I have an 89 Rangie classic, with a gq front diff and a Landcruiser 80 series rear diff. I have been looking for a decent diesel engine for it, yours looks interesting. How difficult was it to fit the motor?
  6. OFF TOPIC Hey Deano, I love your sig banner, would you mind if I pinched and used as mine as well.
  7. This is quite a common conversion in Australia, well diesel and propane. You only add 20% propane/80% diesel, veg oil. The conversions cost about $4500 installed, but our govt gives a $2000 rebate because the cleaner burning produces less emmissions. Apparently, depending to who you talk to, you get up to 40% increase in power and torque. I know of one semi (truck) who rund a Cat c15 550hp and put it on gas and it now dynos at 600hp. Neale
  8. If you want to use it front and back, make up a cradle to mount it to then attach it to your vehicles recovery points (not the tie down points) with high tensile chain or cable similar to that on the winch. MAKE SURE WHAT EVER YOU USE IS "RATED" TO HANDLE THE STRENGTH OF THE WINCHES PULLING POWER. That way you and onlookers won't get hurt. You can stow it in the vehicle and when you want it, attach it like you would a snatch strap or similar. Neale
  9. I know it is a couple of months since the last post but, have you guys tried "POR15" paint system It is a complete paint system, price is reasonable. I will be doing my chassis, diffs and the complete body internal panels with it. You can get it at Frost Try it you'll love it.
