  1. Shiny clean bits.... Like those !!
  2. Well..... Somehow this looks almost too easy. Buy the thing, get the logbook in your name & SORN it to prepare it for the MOT... Hmm....
  3. Thanks - but the V5 needs to be in your name by then ?
  4. Thank you for the very quick reply. 3 - What does he need to SORN it ?
  5. Right, question for the UK specialists... This is the info on the DVLA system for this vehicle. Obviously, the Reg. no has been "anonymized", but there is an original V5 / Logbook that matches the vehicle. 1 - Does this mean a friend in the UK can buy this vehicle, SORN it, make it MOT ready, make it pass, Tax & insure it and get it on the road hopefully enjoying the vehicle ? 2 - Does this mean a friend in the UK who buys this vehicle gets hit for it not having MOT & Tax over the last 5 years etc. before he can SORN it, get it MOT ready ? Looking forward t your thoughts
  6. Bonjour ! On the inside, it is more or less in lint and you can fit the clamps. On the outside, you need to make a new bracket to accept the hinge from the Series windscreen (for which we did not have time yet,,,) The windscreen gutter needs a small grinding session but nothing drastic. The holes for the windscreen and roof line up - as do most of the other. We just needed to drill some extra holes for the upper seatbelt bracket. The funny thing is most people do not notice the Series roof & windscreen on a 110. Next thing is to fit early lift up doors...
  7. And in a few months, what is the value of the "E-mark" anyway...
  8. Ooh...... Poor Ninety..... Don't we love towing....
  9. Me towing often.... We seem to be towing quite a lot but the gearbox seems happy in the Summer around 87 C.
  10. Thank You !! I have IR guns to measure the various temps... Wonder if the oil cooler is a good idea...
  11. Welcome back to the Madhouse... What's keeping you from bobtailing the thing ??
  12. Merci. So this is a R380 oil cooler thermostat thingie ?
  13. As you guys are a great source of wisdom, etc... I hope you can tell me what this is ? I was led to believe it is a thermosstat housing for the R380 and attaches the oil cooler to ? And the "sensor" ? Warning light or gauge sensor... Thanks
  14. Yes... Impossible to answer with this info. We have 2 batteries in the LR's and this kind of stuff runs off the 2nd battery
  15. Old School nut oh so fun on wet tarmac...... Series in the mud with SAT's were back in the '80 s & '90s.. The Super All Traction really were off road tyres, anything wettish with a bit of "Oomp" could see you doing interesting things on roundabouts normally reserved for nitro drifter things... Those were the days.. Put them on some 8 spokes and you are really getting a "retro" look Make sure they are safe - they might be very dry...
  16. The TDV8 should not need a tune. Make sure the thing is running as it should before even considering tuning...
  17. I never put engine & gearbox straight onto concrete. Get wooden block and some planks to level the thing out - and make sure it can fall over : they are very unstable..
  18. Living in cars, I play too much Mp3 files and sometimes the HU's can be funny. Good to hear you've got finnaly tunes !! The 110 has one that eats 64 GB SD cards.... Now we're talking..
