  1. Looks like I'll have to keep the Sankey on tow permanently now - filled with paperwork!
  2. I use: Einhell Petrol and Oil Suction Pump (Argos # 715/2638). Just attach an airline to the 'inlet' rather than the suction pump that comes with it, a couple of psi & the oil flows in. Suction pump is very useful for sucking up 'spills'
  3. Caranex do one but unless you want to pay a lot for not a much space, the Aztec Auto Haven tent is a much better option. They may not be as 'heavy duty' but give a lot more for a lot less £. (I've had / have both). Aztecs don't seem to be made any more, but they do come up on eBlag quite often - item number: 330593170527 right now eg.
  4. Have had these up on the 'bay for a bit, but no takers http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=290549850088&ssPageName=ADME:L:EOISSU:GB:1123 If anyone can use them, free to collect. I'll skip them next weekend if not.. Cheers all
  5. Little trucks doing just what they're supposed to do, working .. no massive tyres, walls of spotlights, snorkels and all the rest to trundle to Tescos ... brilliant!
  6. Mine never came either... but I did get the mailer .... which of course made me most chuffed with Locktite's 'marketing'. (On the upside though, as I'm at a company who specialise in this sort of thing, we all had a good laugh at how poor the mailer was and what a mess they'd made of the 'sample' programme..)
  7. Hi All I'm looking to permanently re-locate & store my truck (S III 88" hybrid) in Italy in the new year so, help / comments / thoughts please; Am assuming I'll have to re-register - and will of course set about looking at all the 'official' bumph shortly - but any 'real life' experience of same would be most welcome. Will be in the Rome 'area' - well manly Lazio province - so anyone know of a local club? (Online search has so far only revealed a 'Rome Registry' which looks as if it's part of Land Rover itself and as such not much use) Anyone on here based in that neck of the woods be prepared to correspond? Always good to know a 'local' Ta & Cheers royAB
  8. FWIW I too have a fully legal series 'hybrid' and yes, I've been Land Rovering for over 20 years and yes, am definitely an old git.
  9. Sorry Nige, you've lost me there..
  10. Good point Landy'd So, from Perkins 'Prima' 2.0 turbo via 2" downpipe on the right side of the engine, under gearbox crossmember, around custom fuel tank under drivers seat, crosses over tub above rear suspension 'A' frame through silencer and finally exhausts out the PTO hole in rear crossmember. Chassis is custom coiler.
  11. Hi All Can anyone suggest / recommend a good maker of the above? I've had enough of bodging together bits scrounged from Kwik Fit bins to make same for my hybrid and am ready to fork out for a 'popper' one. Thanks in advance RoyAB
  12. I've relocated mine to the top left corner of the windscreen surround. The wipers now work from the top of the screen down. Fairly straightforward - just had to sort a mounting bracket that bolts to the frame - and took a bit of time but works well and nicely tucked up out of the way in the roof.
  13. See: KUDU - Mine and ambush protected vehicle: http://www.mazoe.com/echoesarmouredvehicles.html When it comes to LRs, there's nothing new under the sun
  14. Ta James, It's indeed a Bosch pump, so... time to smell like a fat fryer then
  15. Anyone here tried this with a Perkins Prima 2.0 turbo? (Probably sacrilege here I know, but that's what mines got .. )
  16. Just think how much 'fun' they'd have robbed us of if they had (Just ordered mine...)
  17. I know I'm probably in the minority on this one, but think the wheels look great. (I never cease to be amazed at how 'modern' the 50(?) year old LR design can look with a few 'modern' bits added...or even without them for that matter. Form & function in perfect harmony) On a more practical note, will be very interested to hear how the truck perform in anger too.
  18. Got to go to Zimbabwe on 12th now so will have to cry off. Have a great time all.
  19. Thanks guys - will have to give this Sunday a miss (garden centre duty) but get in touch for next month hopefully..
  20. Anyone here in West Norfolk / Brecklands? LR (88 hybrid) now finished & I'm looking for something entertaining to do with it.. greenlaning, route clearing, basic LR sort of stuff. Suggestions gratefully received
