  1. I mean facing the vehicle/engine from the front.
  2. I think I have a workable idea. I really wish I had a S3 front panel though; the panel I have has been modified, repaired and galvanized and I just don't have time to make a new one before the project is due at the end of the month. The 200TDI intercooler fits to the left of the rad if I trim down the lip on the rad support, so what I'm thinking is mount there, modify the input/output to both come off the right hand side of the intercooler so the pipes can be run forward from the engine, turn right and go through the rad support in front of the rad (cutting openings) across the front of the rad in front of the electric fan and into the intercooler or some variation thereof. Now I just need to find someone to modify the intercooler.
  3. If you get a pump designed for SVO you should be good, they're stronger. I fitted a small electric pump when my mechanical died on the road and performace did improve. What I really need though is a fuel pressure gauge fitted just before the filter so I can tell when it is getting clogged as excessive backpressure seems to be what kills the diaphram pumps (they tear).
  4. Does any photos of a LHD conversion of a Series to an intercooled engine showing how they modified the front panel to fit everything?
  5. Does anyone have a photo of how the lower dash and demist connect up? I have three oriented plastic pieces that screw down with 4 screws each; and don't really seem to align so hoping to get a look at how they're supposed to be. Ideally LHD but I suspect it'll just be the opposite of the RHD. If there's a parts diagram showing the assembly that's probably good too. Thanks.
  6. I can confirm the 3/8unf is correct; thanks... I managed to come across the old master earlier and took it along.
  7. This one (TRW) has what looks like a 10mm but has a different thread in it from the 10mm bubble flare tube nuts.
  8. Just replaced a master cylinder with a Series 3 one (the fitting broke off inside the old one) and it is clearly not 10mm metric/bubble for the fitting; can anyone tell me which fitting I'm looking for as I'd really rather not remove it again to drag it to the shop to match up. Thanks,.
  9. If I did that there wouldn't be anywhere for the steering box or throttle pedal to attach.
  10. Looking for the pre-captive seal part number for Series rear quarter panel window. As identified on http://www.roversnorth.com/Land-Rover-Parts/96 as 37 Thanks.
  11. So... I didn't know the pins would fall out of the latches.... does anyone have one they could photograph so that I might have a chance of finding them? I found photos of how the rest goes together.
  12. Yes, but do they fit on the top of bottom of the window? Also, how long would the piece be, the entire length of the window opening or just half? Thanks,.
  13. http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/LAND-ROVER-SERIES-2-3-Sliding-Window-Catch-Set-DLS110-/280999197722 is the style of catch I have.
  14. I am not entirely sure the windows/sides I got came with all the pieces which is the main reason I'm asking. I've got the replacement rails from Rocky Mountain, the drip trays, the trim for under the drip tray and the windows themselves have a latch that clamps onto something until you press a pin in the side. If you can confirm those go at the bottom vs the top it would be a big help as I need to assemble these in the morning.
  15. Some good news; slight modification of the exhaust/turbo side engine mount (engine side) and two 1/4" spacers, one above and one below the ANR1808 and it now has a level of clearance that makes me much more comfortable with things. My question is, does anyone know where I can order an engine mount like the ANR1808 but half an inch taller? Right now there isn't as much nut on the captive bolt as I'd like but it does at least come flush. I've actually got a similar issue on my Defender due to how the custom chassis side mount was made (they neglected to subtract the thickness of the bolt on mounting plate from the inside spacing of the mounts which put the bell housing extension against the bulkhead...). Thanks!
  16. Series 3 rear window panels; I think I remember how almost everything goes back together other than the locking rail, could someone possibly take a photo?
  17. Right now after lifting the left side of the engine about 2cm I've got; little enough space that I'm worried about it hitting while running... about 3/4" from the actual pipe but only about half-cm from the clamp.... so I'm thinking I need to raise it another inch or so... the front PTO alignment is going to be quite off but I'm hoping it'll work.
  18. I am still working on getting the Series/Def hybrid finished. It seems the original person who did the chassis mounted the engine at a S2 height which makes the bulkhead end up very close to the turbo exhaust manifold/down pipe. My question is; how close is too close for the downpipe to the corner of the footbox? It is close and I'm not sure how I'd get it any further away without trying to space the entire drivetrain up.
  19. Shipping UK-> Canada is quite often half the price of shipping the same item the other way. Why.... no clue.
  20. To get it to work you need a business class ticket; which allows two pieces of luggage of 35kg each. Then split the box into two parts less bellhousing and each is about 31kg.
  21. Yes! That. Now to mock up something to see how many offset changes I need to make to get the belt running right. Thanks!
  22. Are you sure on that link, I've gone through most of the links off that page but not found it yet;.
  23. Those I have; it is the bracket those attach to that I need.
  24. Anyone know the part number for the bit you bolt to the chest to mount the tensioner pulled on for a 200TDI?
  25. Big thanks to Fatboy for helping get me sorted on the manifolds and turbo, now I think I just need to get an Aircon idler pulley and the front cover will be set (didn't remember that Disco sometimes had those ) the manifold fits. The turbo exhaust manifold obviously doesn't due to the bulkhead but this is what the SP downpipe should fix, and if it doesn't that's something I can bash and cut and weld up until it does easily enough. Anyone happen to have an aircon idler around? After that I think I'll probably just have to offset the 2nd alternator mount to line up and done! Well this bit of things.
