Quick update, i changed to mtf94 oil, the change is now less notchy than before, dont know if it was just because the oil was old, or the mtf does a better job. i think its a higher spec than the normal stuff, well it's a higher price !! cheers, john.

Hi all, as title, are the bearmach waterpump's any good? the one i have been sent has a folded metal impellor.the original one on the car does not leak,just has play in it.i am changing the P gasket while i am there,(minor leak at the mo,) and the plastic threaded fill plugs for brass ones,cheers,john.

Hi all, I may need to look at replacing the engine sump gasket on my 95 300tdi manual.can this be done in situ? ta,john.

i would expect 2-3k for it, depending on condition.

All done now,with help from above (no jokes )we managed to remove the old downpipe without removing any other parts,the non cat downpipe went in easier than the cat one came out.i think using the flexi downpipe helped with the fitting,maybe dropping the ARB would be needed to fit the solid type. So far EGR removed,cat removed, cambelt next !! cheers, john.

hi all, i am changing all the exhaust system on my 300tdi manual.do i need to remove any crossmembers or rollbars to get the downpipe out(cat type)?.i am changing to non cat downpipe.i am happy tonight as i got the 3 turbo nuts off without anything snapping !!.refit tomorrow night all being well.cheers,john.

Hi all, when driving on light throttle the car (300tdi manual) seems to jerk a bit sometimes,almost like fuel starvation.It has a new fuel filter,always starts no problem,and pulls good when the pedal is floored.are there any common things to check? . cheers,john.

Hi all,i have just purchased my 4th landrover, a 300tdi es disco in mettalic red. couple of questions please- 1/ i need to change the exhaust system. if i order a pre-cat system complete with the downpipe will it fit straight on a cat equipped one, removing the cat? 2/ i dont know when the cambelt was last done,are there any markings to show if it has the modified wheels/cover fitted? if not what kit should i get,or do i need to get it taken apart to see what's on there?any recomendations for cambelt fitters in the oxford area?cheers,john.
