  1. Ok I think I’ve realised how it works. The other 2 wires green/slate green/yellow go back to the switch to earth. I can connect to both wires and it will earth depending on which position the switch is in? If it’s connected to one it will only work on one of the settings?
  2. Found the fan runs continuously connected to purple feed to heater. How is the existing switched earthed?
  3. Dragging up an old topic. But how are people doing the wiring for this?
  4. Old thread resurrection but my classic is doing the same did you cure it?
  5. i have chris perfect 2 leaf front and rears with extended shackles, very high and very flexy but then you get back line and prop issues
  6. http://forums.lr4x4.com/index.php?showtopic=10698 heres an old thread on the Mazda SL35ti. As said mate has one fitted changed from a 200tdi and wow what a difference when loaded the tdi just runs out of grunt but the mazda keeps pulling and pulling and pulling. Just finding one might be an issue

  12. i cannot see how you would need so much fuel sorry it just doesn't make sense. I've driven over europe many times and whilst i understand you may need extra fuel in russia or deepest africa in france you'll be fine. I drive a petrol SWB series doing approximately 15-18mpg fully loaded around europe and never had a problem with getting fuel and thats with a tank that holds the same amount as 2 jerry cans a defender 110 or discovery with its huge 80 litre tank will be fine . France may well be shut ion a sunday but the main services are 24hr so are all the big supermarkets have 24 hour garages where you pay for the fuel at an unmanned pump and if you have sat nav they are all marked on them to. Never had a problem getting fuel at anytime of the day or night any day of the week. Maybe it was slightly sarky but there are to many people in the world who bolt on tat purely for pose value and carry so much stuff they don't need. You'll save a lot of weight and wind resistance without them to
  13. Why do you need to carry so much fuel? They do have petrol stations in other countries and i know in france there open 24 hours as long as you pay by card. The cans on the roof will just cause extra drag and mean you use extra fuel!! Stop pretending your on the camel trophy and take them off. One small 10 litre can should be enoughand store it in the back nice and low down
  14. 1536 is a shortwheelbase one so i presume the other is a LWB

  18. mine has 110 heavy duty springs with the helpers
  19. I've a utility backd motor that is registered as a diesel car, so it goes through an MoT as a car is taxed as a car and is not LEZ affected as it is a car. All the guy is doing is replacing the rear windows with ally not making it into a pick up or full hard top. And yes you want series hard panels not 90 ones
  20. Need to fit new shocks to my 2001TD5 110. Its fitted with HD springs all round with helpers in the rear and has a winch on the front. Spend most of the time running around empty or very well loaded up. Anybody got recomendations on make and length that hopefully wont break the bank if thats possible with a landrover
  21. you've got an everyday can so your landrover can be a "toy" maybe sell your pimped new one and get an older replacement so no worries about depreciation and just use it for weekends and playing
  22. Hey munks dont worry bout vibrations off the front prop, if you have freewheeling hubs your prop wont be turning on the road. I've this set up on mine and once i changed the UJ's in the rear prop i had no trouble with steering or vibrations
  23. Hmmm maybe still wanna know if i can just replace the pin that mod looks good but knowing me i'll balls it up somehow
  24. and that washer means they charge an extra £16!!
  25. The hinges oin my td5 and my gf's series 3 have plenty of droop in them and need replacing, main dealer want £13 for one of the earlier type and £28 for the later type. what is the differance and could i be cheap and just replace the pin and not the whole hinge
