James see your from Peterborough are you buying Marks 110? the white C reg one. A CSW will be nice and comfy there much better than the base models with vinal seats etc.
What about similar stuff to waffle boards? light and strong sure seen yanks using plastic "chicken coop flooring" which is same stuff i think just a bit thinner
Why a disco? you cant beat the feeling of driving a nice old series landrover. i recenlty picked up a series 3 88 station wagon that only needed a rear cross member before sailing throught the MOT its not a heap either with a recently replaced bulkhead and fully re trimmed intterior and it cost me just £246!!
Fitted mine today doesnt seam to be as snug to the wing as it should be? thinking of changing the rivnuts for normal nut and bolts to pull the front in tighter to the wing dunno about the bottom i may bend the clips in a little
Its a big 110 so the the extreme tubular style is probably best left to the winch challange 90's but on the otherhand i dont want 1 that sticks out 4 miles and affects approch angles
Here you go James roll bar monted to the cappings and a bar running across for harnesses also means can chop bulkhead out to with out loosing to much strength i plan to chop mine MUD style not going to low just so can get bit more recline on the seats. Roll bar also has a place to put top mount for seatbelts to
Carefully take insides out (theres a big compressed spring in there) the smash the casing out with a hammer few good blows should do it it will split and eventually all come out. I spent forever jacking up and hammering chassis down all that did was bend the chassis a bit
James i've a roll bar mounted to capping and then another bar runining across the tub at capping height for mounting harnesses to can take a pic tommrrow for you
At sodbury picked up a large dizzy for a 3.5 V8 from Nige spent couple o hours working on truck today changing the inlet manifold and connnecting everything and when it came to dropping the dizzy in it wont drop down the gears on the end wont engage tried twisting the shaft and even rocking the landy back and forwards (yes it was in gear) to get it to drop but it refuses to, Any clues anybody?
