  1. Makes me laugh when they tonk down hilly roads and wonder why they lock up when they touch the brakes..lol Nice to to select low range and let the Engine do the rest
  2. I think they are all a credit to you lads..great Fabrication work..want mine doing but i got to talk to PORNY nicely
  3. seen this advertised for £2000 what do we think is it worth it? Here is my much loved Disco ! Reason for sale - Bought a Mitsubishi Delica and have decided its better to sleep in than the disco, so it will be better for camping, plus I have not the space to keep both, shame !!!! This is far from a standard Disco, I have had numerous Land Rover Disco / Rangie's over last few years and have built up a "few" extras, all of which are with this vehicle. List of what you get ... 1) Detroit Truetrack torsion rear diff (like a LSD but technicaly different) 2) Scorpion 2" lift kit including springs allowing for the winch and fitted with DeCarbon shocks 3) Lowered uprated front turrets (these won't rot like originals) 4) Lowered rear shock mounts from Bearmach 5) Overhauled wheel bearings all round 6) Extended brake line 7) Bearmach Rock sliders 8) new OE bushes 9) Paddocks steering box (no play or leaks on this one) 10) Replaced the boot floor 6 months ago 11) QT front and rear diff gaurds 12) Unique heavy duty bumper incorporating tow bar, sliders, tank gaurd, recovery points and jack points. This is a heavy duty piece that will take full weight of vehicle and is secured to several chasis points. 13) Front Winch Bumber with jacking and recovery points 14) Husky Winch with 10mm cable, all working and correct, this winch is not a cheapo and is superior in design and build than the warn's which are good, its the same winch that the utility companies fit on defenders. Its worm drive so will not over heat ! 15) Replaced timing belt in May. 16) Safari Snorkel fitted and no damage to it. 17) Mud tyres on steel wheels 235/85/16 this is bigger than standard and gives you as much diff clearence as a Defender 18) Also comes with a set of alloys with 235/85/16 near new A/T tyres as used as OE on Defender 110's 19) Rear sunroof used to leak (hence stain on seat) fixed by cleaning and lubricating the seals, (I will try and clean seats it never bothered me as do not use the back seats other than for coats, lunch etc. 20) Low energy flourescent light fitted in cab 21) Twin battery set up batteries are still under warranty 22) Steering Gaurd 23) Comes with uprated steering bars from bearmach and a new rear A frame ball joint fitted to a new carrier, will fit ball joint prior to sale. 24) Chasis no rot or welding 25) Chequer Plated lower half. 26) Roof Rack 27) Replaced head gasket just after I bought as a precaution as its an easy job to do and I have no idea if the mileage is genuine or not, its reading just under 110,000 miles now. 28) has one shot grease in the balls 29) all oils and fluids changed recently 30) Gearbox and transfer box all work as they should, no jumping out of gears etc, diff lock works as it should. 31) Axle Breathers Previous owner was registered disabled so prior to me it had never seen mud, I have off roaded it on green lanes 3 times since I got it early this year. Thats the good bits..... now the bad bits Front drivers seat a little worn, shown in picture Rear seats need a serious clean ! Front inner wings not perfect, still repairable but are not structural and could be easy fixed, I do not have a mig welder, or I would have got round to it. Its a good solid reliable vehicle, not aimed at the school run, but when used with the supplied A/T tyres then it would make a perfect daily drive, I have a company car also so only used this of a weekend, and have been all over the country in it, went round the Malvern LRO show Advanced course in it no problems. Please feel free to ask questions before end of auction and as ever with cars would advise seeing it first. To buy a disco and prep it to this spec would take a lot of time, money and effort. The starting price is way less then the cost of buying a disco and buying the kit on it never mind fitting it all. This one is ready to go, taxed and MOT'd, V5 present, buyer will not be disapointed, this is not a rough old crock on its last legs, I have just lost interest in the last month as got the Delica which was more suited to my needs, sorry to let this go but I really have no space, we have 4 cars and the drive hold 2 !!! Sorry the vehicle is not clean. Just come back from green laning and hurried to get pictures while I had light. Will clean up before vehicle is picked up.
