  1. Hi Mates got a 300tdi defender the headlights come on when light switch is on position1 for side lights? Its probably been covered but is there a way to modify the wiring? so only side lights come on and not both? Dave
  2. What about a 5.7L chevy?? :D mate back in the late 1980's had an overfinch 90. Bu@@er that was quick, problem is it ate clutches and he didn't want to auto it.

  4. I built a 6m x 5m girt big workshop/garage/shed, Cost approx £1500 for the timber but bloody strong and secure, 3x2 timber framework like studding then cladded inside with osb and out side with 1x9 planks upright, looks good too. Smaller is going to be a lot less dollar too. :-)
  5. Common cracked liner problem, F J Payne and son at eynsham oxfordshire are good for the machining and fitting of the liners!
  6. sorry this is an old topic but this plate FTC1994/UQB000130 will it go into a 300tdi 90? As just found that its a HD item and tow a lot of heavy trailers, will i also need a different pressure plate? Dave

I got a patio heater which i made from a calor. named Fred the Pig. has been seen on tour at a couple of shows keeping us warm, will be also on tour in the future. cost me about a day to make, Brings in a smile and a conversation. even cooked breakfast on him and boils a big kettle in about 3 mins. i'll get a picture and put it on. http://i837.photobucket.com/albums/zz298/ratmanrover/IMAG0349.jpg
  9. I perfer to wing it angle grinder style an fill the gaps with wider welds. not ideal though and a bit more welding needed most of the time. I like the idea of the easyier tools.
  10. Nice neat job buddy, I done a similar idea on my LR90 but never trimmed it. might do that now!?
  11. I'd keep them farming at the moment needs supporters.
  12. Stripping cylinder heads and rebuilding all day long at work we have two pieces of 3/4 ply sunk into 1.5" angle they have been there 25 years and top board only been through probably top two layers. They get abuse too!! Causes less damage than metal!? Our welding bench is a different story 3" thick 8ft by 3 ft. it doesn't move much!
  13. Nice ideal that. Also I guess stops the mark down the door/ bulkhead where oil has been used.
  14. Yeah they are good and I have one also fitted a lock to mine so the back door cannot be opened so easily.
  15. hyperferm is a very good one costs a bit but won't be as trublesome as the cheap chinese ones.
