Rung Diesel Bog and he is quoting 150 to 180 plus Vat. This price sound far better to me. Richard

Hi I have rung my local unfriendly Bosch specialist and they have quoted my a very unfriendly price of 450 quid, and they also said that they would only work on a pump that I know the history off as they won't work on a pump that has run bi diesel as it will knack there machine. Is they only other cheaper suggestions as I have just spent 150 quid on this second hand pump and I really carnt justify another 450 on it. Richard

Hi I have just fitted a second hand injector pump that I bought of Ebay as mine was not delivering fuel to to injectors. This pump delivers to the injectors but and the engine starts but the engine seams to be reving high and when i go rev the engine manualy on the injector pump i get no change in the engine rpm. I have only run the engine for 10 seconds as there is not a rad or intercooler conneted. The injector pump cam un pinned i have rotated the pump 180° to see if if was out but no change. Has anyone any ideas. Richard

Hi Everybody I have a hardtop Ex Mod 1987 90 and I am thinking about changing to a soft top but I don't want an of the shelve soft top as one they are expensive in good condition and I would like to make a landkinie top. I was wondering if anybody had any pictures of how the soft top fasens to the windscreen and how you fix above the doors Thank You for your help.

Hi What a great post saved my bacon last night. I was driving home and my disco just cut out all the same problems read this and temp fixed her in 10min with some speaker wire and stick tape. Looks like i am soldering her wiring back together tonight. Cheers

The wheels offset should be eather printed in the cast of the alloy wheel around the rim or if steel it should be stamped in to the steel near the wheel nuts. Hope this helps.

Hi All I am new to writing on forums so please excuse my spelling I am far better with tools than with a keyboard. This question all starts as I have just bought a disco 1 200tdi as a donor for my ex mod 1987 90, but this disco has had full service history at landrover and only one owner and it is far to good to rip its heart out for my 90. So I have MOT the disco and using it as a daily car but then the boys were all going green laneing so I fitted a 2 inch lift and fit wheel spaces and some 265 75 r16's but it has realy changed the quality of its driving on road and its going to come off, with this it has realy made me think if I want to lift my 90 and fit 37s to her. But if you only need to lift a defender 3 to 4 inchs plus all the other things to fit 37's. Could I just make new arches in the tub 4 inchs higher and make complete new wings with 4 inch more room? I could realy do with some advice before I start, I know the fabrication side of this idea will invole a lot of work but I used to be a sheet metal worker so I am not new to that side of it but the rest I could do with the help. Reason I would like to do this are: Hope not to float like a boat. No need for lift so least to go wrong like props. Keep the center of gravity down. But have the hight for the axle clearance with the 37s with out using unimogs. Thanks for reading.
