I have a Comeup 12000lb(?) bridge type and it gets some fair abuse and is still going strong. The solenoids bought it but an albright and a couple of tie bars from goodwinch soon sorted it.

I use a Cowon D2 mp4 player with built in DAB attached to a marine amp similar to this:- http://www.force4.co.uk/5129/Force-4-Waterproof-MP3---iPod-Kit.html Means that i can keep the MP4 on the roof out of harms way and still go swimming! DAB coverage is pretty good but seems to be patchy on ocasion - weather, buildings, hills all affect it. I'm pretty happy with it mind. BBC 6music is the station of choice though!

You'll not get the larger size GY MTRs in the UK. I work for them and can't even get hold of 35s. Only for the Asian market apparently (and US I guess). As for MPTs have you considered Dunlop SPT9? Google is your friend...

That sounds like it was done with a thermic lance type of affair. Don't know if these things work in a similar way? http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Thermal_lance Apparently you can do it with a bit of straightened injector pipe. Heat the pin etc you want to lance with an oxy acetelene cutting torch. fit a second oxy line to your injector pipe and feed it and the oxygen into the pool. No ideas on pressures etc and don't blame me if you kill yorselves! I've never seen it but have heard about it being done in SA. It is apparently self sustaining but probably makes a bit of a mess. The Injector pipe won't be good for much afterwards!

We had spiral ducting on a tortoise stove in our workshop. It rotted out after a few years but at £12 a section it didn't really matter. Ours did run up the outside of the shop, mind.

Dragging this tread back to the top, Does anyone know of a supplier of 11/16 x16 UNS jam nuts? I bent my track rod at seven sisters and have a thicker heavy duty one but no way of stopping it from rotating. I think that just a RH thread one will be sufficient but my local fastner place has nothing and can only get me a box of 50 so not ideal. Any ideas?

Twin red and white tanks are not legal on any vehicle even a machine that runs on red genrally. If a vehicle is used for a task that uses red then moves to another job where white is used it must be fully cleaned out and re-bled with white with new filters.

Goodyear Efficient grip are available in a 225/60/16 which i believe would work on the rims and have a similar RC.

Dan, I've just done the very same on the 110. You might have seen/heard it at Slab when I was playing tyre pressure in the rain before going home. My air is taken from the crank case breather and seems to give no ill effects thus far. There seems to be no discernable vacuum in the rocker cover when it's engaged and the oil filler cap is off. I've put some compressor oil inthrough the hex cap on the top of the pump and the combination seems to be lubeing it pretty well thus far. Any questions just ask.

I could do with a 1.7m-ish bit too. I work in the Midlands so could probably bring two bits to Dorset (or somewhere between) and you could come and get the other bit from there or wherever? When do you need it? I'm back most weekends but not this bank holiday.

True. The 2.5na pipes are smaller 2" vs 2.5" IIRC. It will still work with a bit of modification but i feel mine is a wee bit strangled. Still considerably better than a 2.5NAD mind!

Looking at the AWDC challenge regs i was wondering about a couple of points :- 14.(f) be fitted with circuit breaker which isolates the battery from all electrical circuits and cuts the engine at the same time and is easily operable by the driver whilst correctly seated.What do people use for this- Is it just the ignition key? 4.(a) be equipped with a positive method of throttle linkage closing in the event of linkage failure by means of an additional external spring to each throttle spindle.Another spring attached to the injection pump lever? Or is fact that the lever will close on it's own sufficient(300tdi - with external spring)? 13.(e) have tank fillers and caps which do not protrude beyond the bodywork, nor are situated within the driver/passenger compartment. The caps must have an efficient locking action to reduce the risk of accidental opening during an accident and ensure closing after refueling. Air vents must be at least 250mm to the rear of the cockpit. All fuel caps should be of the sealed type to prevent spillage. Would a flush fit filler similar to the below but a locking version be acceptable? Thanks in advance.

North do a winch tray for the rear of a 110. pokes out through the xmember so will work even with the tank in the old possition. Not required in your case. maybe try http://www.devon4x4.com/products_a/p937c26...rn-winches.html or have something simpler made up?
