  1. My son has a 1992 (K reg) landrover 90 that he drove for a few years before deciding to strip it down to do it up. He has now moved away and would like to sell it. The question is how much is this worth, in a partly disembled state and missing a gearbox and tranfer case? Would it be better to try and get a gearbox etc so I am selling a complete vehicle or is it not worth it? Where is the best place to sell the vehicle - ebay or is there a site for enthusiasts that I should try. Any help would be greatly appreciated

  3. I have a 1984 110 and i wanted to know if i can fit the new defender doors with the up and down windows hopefully electrical ones. I just want to know if they fit and if they do which models are the right fit,

My '95 land rover discovery auto diesel with the 300tdi engine was sitting for afew months and when i got it going again its got this weird issue with the engine. when you push down the accelerator the revs will go up like normal but will soon drop down to just below 1500rpm and stay there, no matter how far you push the peddle in it wont go any higher it is possible to get it working steady but only if the peddle is pumped up over 3000rpm Heres a video showing it: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zdaEkRXyZWM I have fresh fuel, cleaned the sedimenter, new fuel filter, new lift pump, checked injectors were working correctly, usual exhaust emissions. would love to get out driving again as its my kayak wagon, any help greatly appreciated.

  6. I have a 2002 Landrover Discovery and I am wanting to turn ACE off as I spend my time in the outback. Basically the ride is way to hard. I have changed the shockers to Bilstien Gas & upgraded the springs to match. After owning a early model Range Rover and seeing how good their ride was I am trying to replicate it by turning off the ACE system. Does any one know if this is possible.

  8. Hi all, new around here. Recently got myself fully prepped cut down range rover classic, which came with a Winchmax 13000lbs front winch (yes, i know they are cr**, and will upgrade at some point). But anyway, it didn't work with the manual wired remote, and it was somewhat intermittent with the wireless remote. So went to have a look inside the black box and found most of the wires were either not connected or badly connected. I have looked online for a wiring diagram, and cannot find one, so does anyone on here have one? Or better have a picture of the inside of the box, showing where all the wires go! thanks in advance, Joe
  9. Hello everyone, I'm new to the forum & Land Rovers in general. I now own a 1991 Defender 90 pick up truck (2.5 NA Diesel) & I'm in the process of tidying it up as it was purchased from a farm (lots of encrusted animal poo included). Most of the panels are a mismatch in colour & the wheels were/are awful (tidying the steelies up). Onto my electrical problem; My headlights have started playing up. My OS light works on sidelight, normal beam & high beam, whereas my NS light only works on the high beam? I've searched the internet/forums & most point to the light switch/stalk, but mine works on full beam so doesn't that rule it out? I've then gone into the fuse box & this is the diagram. In red is the number of the fuse actually in the holder. In blue are the bits that I've managed to find out it's use: I pulled fuses 11-14 all out, & the lights still worked (as described before)?. At first I thought the fuse box had been screwed in upside down due to the strange fuse locations, but I found the fog light fuse ruling out that thought. I have no idea what 15-17 do either. Any advice on what it could be, what I would need to test certain parts & also how to do those tasks (as I know very little about the electrics) would be greatly appreciated.   10. Hi, I would love to hear any feedback you may have with my problem...it is a long story but will try to keep it as short as I can! Basically my freelander (04 plate) TD4 was playing up ... lumpy, losing power, knocking...I took it to a Landrover specialist who told me I needed 1 injector replacing, they did the work and told me when I went to pick it up that another injector may need changing, however it wasn't urgent and was so minor it didn't show up on the diagnostics. When I drove the car home (after paying for the new injector) I found the car to be exactly the same as before, I rung them and told them for them to tell me it was because another injector needed replacing (the one that was so minor it didnt show up) I took it back, they changed another injector...it worked fine...for 3 weeks and again after paying for the 2 new injectors it was again lumpy, no power, knocking on the underside of the car. I took it to be investigated, the injectors were sent away to be looked at. The report has come back that 3 of the injectors are faulty - including the 2 the garage changed 4-5 weeks ago, they have also put in MG injectors - which are faulty and not up to standard! This is going to cost me another £800 to replace the 3 injectors. Is there anything I can do to report the landrover specialist garage that replaced 2 injectors with faulty MG injectors? I have had the car 4 weeks since they were changed and now I am going to have to fork out another £800 to get this fixed. I cannot afford this and may have to get rid of my beloved freelander. Can anybody help with this issue, has this happened before...are Landrover Specialists allowed to put in MG injectors which are faulty (surely not!!) Any replies will be greatly appreciated, Thank you
  11. Hi everyone. I'm new to this site and am hoping to find it useful. I own a freelander 2 but my real enthusiasm is for the defender range. Consequently I am about to purchase a 1991 ex mod 90. It is in really good condition considering its history but I heard that ex mod are a good choice for a first buy. Any tips on what to do with it regarding improvements etc? Thanks.
  12. Hey guys, I recently bought an aerial kit from ebay thus including the aerial bracket and the aerial poles. The seller told me that they belonged to a series but after i recieved the packing i have tried to match the holes of the braket plate with those on my landy and they do not match. In case of width they fit perefectly but it seems that the brackets must be longer. What i am thinking is that these belong to a defender wolf, I m uploading some pictures so one can have a clue of what i am talking about. Are these series or defender ones?10x
