Just discussing oil temperature, thermostats etc. Has anyone fitted an oil temp gauge to the 200tdi and what oil cooler if any are you using? Even better, what oil temperature nominal and variations are you getting in your boosted, or tuned set ups please. Mine opens up at around 80c and remains steady at that on tickover at the moment. western Posted February 3, 2017 Share Posted February 3, 2017 got both oil temp gauge & sender on my 200tdi, normal operating temp is round 80 to 90 degrees, the oil stat is stamped 74 degree, standard 200tdi oil cooler in radiator, no other changes to engine. if you search in defender forum for 200tdi oil pressure & temperature senders you should find my modified parts diagram, which shows where the senders fit.
