Tobias Posted February 6, 2017 Share Posted February 6, 2017 Hi, I have a selection of LT230's. The objective is to put a higher gearset into a 1.4 Defender LT230. I have a 1.192 from a 1985 V8 LT77 RRC 15D032813A LT230R, not T I have two sets of 1.211, one from a 1998 Disco 1 300tdi Auto and one from an unknown D2. 36D715556G 41D832887G Will any of these fit into any 1.410 box? the 1.211 gearsets are all of the Q flavor? I am more interested in which prefixes/suffixes of 1.410 would work and which not. I could just swap in one of my boxes without messing about with changing gear ratios. I still do not know the serial number of a potential box to put it in. They would most probably be of the 1997-2002 year range. Many Thanks Tobias Yes this will fit fine and yes the 1.211 are termed 'Q' gears for quiet, these have the fine tooth, 38 tooth input gear, quieter but maybe a bit weaker than the earlier ones with fewer fatter teeth. 1 Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

The point is that it's easier / cheaper to ship a few gears @ 12kg than a whole box @ 50+ kg, landroversforever. One more pont being that one of the tcases Is from a Disco2 and has different output housing than a defender cases.
