Jimmergray Posted March 15, 2017 Share Posted March 15, 2017 Hi all, Thinking of fitting a 4.0 V8 Thor engine out of 1 of my P38's into my 90 which is currently fitted with a 3.5. I see that Devon 4X4 have done it to one of there project motors. One thing to consider is if fitting Auto box contact Ashcroft for there controller as is very simple to set up and allows for gearbox modes to be adjusted simply. FridgeFreezer Posted March 16, 2017 Share Posted March 16, 2017 It's easy enough but I'd really recommend going Megasquirt for the EFI, Nigel at Megasquirt-v8 (hybrid_from_hell on here) is the man and his kits are luvverly. Way nicer to use Nige's wiring kit and built the (much simpler) loom in-situ than try to shoehorn an octopus from a P38 into a Defender.
