Does sedimentor have internal filter?

Recommended Posts

Ok I'm getting round to doing the sedimentor today, the new one has no filter inside (like the fuel filter) is this correct? It's basically just an empty shell?

I have a similar thing on my tractor, nothing inside, its just a place for heavy stuff like rust and water to sit before the fuel goes to the filter. I guess it is just to extend the service life of the filter if you are using fuel that has sat around a while in a metal storage tank.
