ianmayco68
Hi all, I've got a 200tdi , is it normal to find oil in the pipe that goes from the turbo to the intercooler ? There's wasn't loads but it was quite wet have I stumbled on the start of a problem ? cheers Ian
western
Normal, its from the crankcase breather which feeds into the air filter casing.

Boydie
Buy and install a decent after market oil catch can and most of the problem is solved,
ianmayco68
I've got an alisport one fitted , have put it all back together and will keep an eye on it . Thought I'd better ask , I knew oil from the catchment tank sometimes got into the pipes, and there was a tiny bit in the pipe from the catchment tank but not even a sign that oil had been in the air box to turbo pipe then the turbo to intercooler pipe was quite wet which had me thinking that the seals in the turbo could be on the way out, the engine stood for over 2 years while I rebuilt her. cheers Ian
