sighnbox
Hi guys yes still alive but the dam thing been ok for ages and only did 500 mile in her last year OK QUESTION Ok it was a 110 TD 1990 It was re built on to a Richards Galvanized 110 chassis which is the same chassis weather a TD or 200 tdi.....It now has a Defender 200tdi engine as well My current exhaust I believe it is part TD and part normally aspirated (the back tail section certainly is NA after checking the code from buying it last time) Ok I wish to change to the 200 tdi exhaust Ok I need a new one any way so taking that in to account (tail and mid section) .......but the three 200tdi hangers galvanized ones are £48 for the 3 and the exhaust system whole thing £104 (could be plus VAT) plus two Polly bush hangers £7 (have one all ready) so about close to £150 Will I notice any difference ...is it worth changing to the bigger bore 200tdi one ???? Thanks guys Oh what about the 200tdi system with mid box removed and a straight through pipe ????? Edited July 25, 2017 by sighnbox
western
My '89 ex-TD 110 runs a 200tdi with a TD exhaust system in stainless steel, only the downpipe is slightly different but otherwoise hasn't caused my engine any problems. as for removing the big silencer, I did this https://forums.lr4x4.com/topic/11152-goodbye-front-silencer/ back in 2007. western
The 200tdi was a big difference over the TD engine, made my 110 much more fun to drive less of a old plodder, more like c'mon lets go

Troll Hunter
Very nice looking engine bay, Signbox. I'm in the tear down stages of a complete ground up rebuild and I dream of an engine bay that good looking. Mike

reb78
I'm sure I ran a complete TD system on mine when I first fitted the tdi. I later had a custom made stainless system fitted but there wasn't a massive change in performance. It was more so I never had to fiddle with a rusted broken exhaust ever again!!
