LJZuke
Hi Guys I have a Set of 5 Firestone SAT tyres.. I have never seen these tyres before in Australia, what kind of tyre are they? and when were they designed/ produced? Not sure if I should sell them and get something newer,, What terrain are they best suited to? Thanks
B reg 90
They were the offroad tyre to have in the early 90's. If you had the 7.50 version you had big tyres! Soft compound if I remember right and don't last well on road -10,000 miles max?
GW8IZR
A set of SAT's on a V8 S1 was the business! only beaten by dumpers ... unstoppable in mud ( rose tint on ) However you did take your life in your hands when it was raining, every time you had to negotiate a slight bend in the road. (edit) if the genuine Firestone SAT was available today I'd have a set on my FC rims for old times sake
Arjan
Old School nut oh so fun on wet tarmac...... Series in the mud with SAT's were back in the '80 s & '90s.. The Super All Traction really were off road tyres, anything wettish with a bit of "Oomp" could see you doing interesting things on roundabouts normally reserved for nitro drifter things... Those were the days.. Put them on some 8 spokes and you are really getting a "retro" look Make sure they are safe - they might be very dry...
