ThreeSheds Posted August 16, 2017 Share Posted August 16, 2017 I have a Disco 2 and am thinking of getting a set of rock/tree sliders and welding them on (puddle weld in the holes and seam weld the edges where possible/easy).. Cynic-al Posted August 16, 2017 Share Posted August 16, 2017 Makes them harder to change if you damage them I guess. I welded plates onto the chassis to spread the load then bolted the rock sliders to the plates. miketomcat Posted August 18, 2017 Share Posted August 18, 2017 Do disco 2 sliders normally bolt to the body not the chassis (like disco 1 sliders do) if so I can see why you want to weld them. Mike The sliders that I have seen for the D2 bolt on to the sills - so yes, the body. and as for rust, if i clear it all up now, it will probably see me out before it needs doing again Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
