Jon W Posted October 14, 2017 Share Posted October 14, 2017 If you are struggling to get the seal out, screw a self tapping screw into it and lever out with a claw hammer. Firstly, someone had kindly tried before but failed to remove the split pin, leaving it stuck in with nothing to get hold of to pull it out. Great. Any ideas? simonb Posted October 14, 2017 Share Posted October 14, 2017 Drill out the split pin, its only soft metal. If the nut is still stuck, use a jack under the spanner to take up the slack in the diff ( with the wheels chocked or the brake pedal wedged down) and then belt the spanner with a lump hammer - works every time.
