Keith Keir
Hey all, Been looking at possible things for my land rover rebuild and happen to come across a land rover with a different top and sides than usual. After a long while searching the web finally got round to finding the make. Atleast these are sold by french website http://www.top-fleuret.com/ was wondering if anyone on here has seen or even got one of these in person? Scotts90
Liking that, very Jeep Wrangler-esque. I've seen similar on some NAS spec 90s on t'internet.
Maverik
Do it, quite like that too, I'd do it if I didn't have my infernal roof rack which I hate/love all at once
Keith Keir
I'm considering it but would need to find out if a half external half internal roll cage could be made up for it. Unsure of strength of said roof and sides. This build is getting more pricey the longer I am at work!
Maverik
compared to the flimsy Alu can you have over your head usually... Defenders aren't really known for there as standard roll over protection...
Bowie69
I do like them, have to admit LR really missed a trick not doing an unclippable hard top for the soft top. Not sure why you want external cage at all?
Maverik
Just wear a good helmet? You'd make a royal mess of it putting an external cage on it, if anything I'd put a rear hoop internally behind the front seats. Other than that I'd do without as I doubt its any better/worse than and alloy roof.
Keith Keir
Well I was planning on sticking a roll cage in if I stay with the normal defender route, as I've got previous of parking on the roof! The sort of thing I was thinking of was this Then have an internal hoop behind the front seats. That way it wouldn't inter fear with the opening of that front portion. Arjan
Make sure this is the sort of cage you want for a 90. We're about to get the 110 caged - full external - as they take up a lott of space inside. In a 90, the B hoop takes a lot os space. Also, if you want to fit a Rear Bulkhead Removal Bar, you have to consider what you want. Bon Courage
Bowie69
If you're worried about getting squashed, a rear hoop plus backstays should be plenty for you.
