Paint code for the green on HUE166

Recommended Posts

Hi, can anyone please tell me the correct paint code for this colour, as also used on the special edition that also appeared on the final one off the line year before last ?

A friend in Johannesburg wants to match it to use on his IIA 109 station wagon.

With regard to the final Defender off the production line, the colour is 'Grasmere Green', and as far as I can tell, the paint code is 2207 HBV.

I'm not entirely sure if it's exactly the same colour as HUE 166, as it is a metallic finish.  They describe it as the 'same' colour as HUE 166 though.  Perhaps someone could clarify the details.

From Paintman

"LAND ROVER ATLANTIC GREEN LRC726.  A traditional single part  Synthetic Coach Enamel paint used during 1999 for the Defender 90, 110, 130 Heritage range of Land Rovers.  Although Land Rover Atlantic Green LRC726 is normally a special order colour and would need a lead time of around 2 weeks for delivery, we are currently holding a small stock due to popular demand.

Out of pure interest, we have a swatch of Atlantic Green sat on the last Grasmere Green Land Rover.  Grasmere Green is a Micatallic colour whilst Atlantic is a flat coat, however, the shade is almost identical"

We live in a weatherboarded house and thought of a pale green colour but I need a british standard number.  What better than HUE 166.  I tried using the "LAND ROVER ATLANTIC GREEN LRC726” but I am being asked for a BSS number.  Can anyone help please?

Atlantic green isnt a BS colour as far as I know, so wont have a BS colour code.  Pretty sure 'Light Green' or 'pastel green' used on series land rovers which atlantic green is emulating is a BS colour though.  You need to look through the BS colour chips and pick the closest colour basically.

Tried B&Q Valspar range? I think they can scan your colour from anything, if not they have hundreds of colour swatches for you to take home and put up against whatever you want to match it to.

TBH I think most paint shops have that technology and can mix any colour in any flavour of paint - I tend to buy Dulux Trade from Brewers.
