Geoff, I meant WTFF with a Triumph engine. I can quite understand why you would want to try with a Rover.

What's the difference? Neither are particularly outstanding engines, both would need considerable work and expense just to get them up to the performance of some similar off the shelf engines. Maybe he just happened to have it and it was a suitable base to try his ideas out on? :)

I know the feeling - if I had the sole intention of doing RTV trials then there is no way I would have bought the RRC in the first place, and if driven by pure economics then I would have scrapped it months ago bought something more suitable. It's just that I had it lying around and I thought it would be interesting to have a play with it.

Don't think I'll be trying to engineer my own 4 valve heads though ;)
