Anderzander
That’s true - many hands and all that though - and it was doing full days, whereas you seem to fit it all in around work - plus you’re not just dealing with nuts and bolts - you’re making stuff and your pace of fabrication is just fantastic.

I do plenty of full days as well and I really do enjoy fabrication, things like the bump stop metalwork is pretty basic and can be completed relatively quickly..... My good lady is taking the grandchildren to Alton Towers tomorrow and I'm looking after the dogs so I hope to get a couple of full days in weather permitting regards Stephen

Popular Post Stellaghost
What a carry on this morning... Fitted rear tub, that sounds so easy.......not First off I set chassis level, happily this was achieved by jacking up one corner at the front, need a drive that does not have a slope it then took me quite a while to get tub sitting level, I think it distorted a wee bit when it was removed and also due to vast amounts of corrosion Tub outrigger positions adjusted slightly and Welded into position Two extra rear body bolting points added then had to adjust for sideways alignment, as you can see there is a bit of a difference Better now top shot of tub finally in position For those of you with sharp eyes you will have noticed bulkhead needs a wee bit of adjustment also. Stellaghost
Marked up and corners drilled for rear winch Now to cut the unwanted section out, disc grinder and some candle wax, works a treat Winch in position a wee bit of boxing in to do Regards Stephen

toenden
So this is what warpspeed feels like in stopmotion! 🙂 Greet work. Only thing I was thinking about was if it would be beneficial to ad a couple of drainholes in the rear winch tray to keep the potential for mud and/water building up around the drum/winch? (Maybe they are there, but nit showing on the photos). I cant wait to se the thing finished. /mads Edited October 30, 2022 by toenden Spelling

Popular Post miketomcat
What I love the most about this build is, it's being done on a driveway outside with a double garage that is only a workshop (as you can't get the car in there). Yes you have a good selection of tools but most are attainable by your average Joe, and yes you have a good skill set but again that's learnable. You sir are an inspiration to us all and for that I thank you. Now get on and finish it, I neeeeeed to see it finished. Mike 3 1
