Stellaghost
More done this morning, work interfering for any more today Turned large diameter down to 42mm then Turned a short section down at the end to take an m24 thread, this became interesting as I did not have an insert for lathe tool but I do have an m24 die nut.... have you tried starting a large thread with only a large adjustable spanner.... not going to happen, step in Mill head and table, used them to apply pressure and keep thread square whilst cutting threads so you should be able to see where I'm going with this some more work to do but it's just about there. I did say there was a suspension component in there if you looked closely lol regards Stephen Edited August 12, 2021 by Stellaghost Addition

Okay - I didn't make my current hydraulic press but I take your M30 and raise you a 3" AF. landroversforever
Looks great Stephen. Certainly looks more finished with the ends radiused. Back to my previous thought, I was meaning radii at the bottom of the clevis, where the square tabs meet the round base-like part. Have they only got a small cutter sized radius? Any concerns on cracking in the corners? What is the clevis/rubber area using to stop rotation and or flopping about under load? Are you going to have it keyed in some way and then only able to slide along it’s axis?

Thanks As it stands at the moment the radii at the bottom of the clevis legs is what the cutter is, I don't have a radius cutter at the moment, I have no concerns with it cracking as it's not going to get a massive amount of work and the give in the suspension will protect it to a degree, have not considered a key to locate clevis at the moment as I've machined it so that the m24 when tight compresses the coupling rubber to prevent movement however I will keep what you've said in mind when I put it all together and see where I'm at regards Stephen
