The old chestnut - original colour

Recommended Posts

Hi, sorry to raise the question as I'm sure this has been asked at least once or twice.

Ive just bought myself a Defender 90 300tdi (1994). From my searches on here and the internet, I'm pretty certain that she's Coniston Green. Thanks to all those people who reproduce the colour codes etc, you made my life easier.

But to my question, what I can't find is whether the roof and wheels should be limestone or white.

Does anyone have any ideas?

Thanks in advance.

I suspect at that age they’ll be Alpine White.

Yep.  Certainly not Limestone, which was dropped when the 200Tdis were introduced in the very late 80s.  In fact, I'm not sure I've ever seen an early 90 with Limestone either, just the early 110s.

A colour I like....hmmm yellow it is then 😄 Thanks for all your help, I'll stick with the alpine white roof, it does look good against the green...or rather it will when it's cleaned

I photoshopped my white roof to yellow on my black 109.  It looked like a 14' jar or Marmite...
