wheatfielder
In the recent snow, was called out several times to recover friends stuck in snow. Not done much of this so am thinking what is the best rope/ strap to buy now, ready for next time, particularly as the rope has to fit these modern tow hooks on cars now, not the biggest- for instance new minis. Any advice greatly appreciated.
Cynic-al
I just carry a flat strap type and a shackle or two. Rolls up into quite a small space, goes over a tow ball and the shackles can go through towing eyes or if your desperate allow the strop to be looked around something. Phantom
As well as the normal recovery kit I carry one or two small shackles ( normal LR sizes are sometimes too big for modern cars tow eyes ) and also a sacrificial rope for joining strops/tow ropes to awkward points or vehicles without eyes, it’s come in handy a few times!
