DEFENDER 200Tdi oil cooler hose connections

Recommended Posts

Had to replace my 110's 200tdi's oil cooler hoses today, the 24 year old originals were leaking from the hose to rigid pipe swaging, so some new hoses are now fitted.  mine are ESR 1912 upper & ESR1913 lower. both use have a straight end with a 'O' ring seal [these hoses came as part of my LR repower kit STC939D [TD to 200Tdi] back in mid 1994.

the pipes above require rad/oil cooler adaptors ESR1262, there are also ESR280 & ESR281 for the same positions but with different end fittings these have a bell or domed end fitting, a bit more info on the rad end adaptors in http://www.defendersource.com/forum/f6/200tdi-oil-cooler-oil-cooler-line-thread-question-23281.html

the oil filter head is different too, where the hoses screw in the filter head for the ESR280/ESR281 have a dished seat for the hose ends, whereas the head [not 100% sure of the part number] for the ESR1912/ESR1913 is straight.
