ottentot
My LR HSE TDV6 diesel is intermittently losing power as I drive. It is scary! It stops itself for a second or three. Any ideas? Nothing showed up on a diagnostic check at an independent garage
ottentot
To be clear, the engine doesn't cut out, the power just disappears. It is dangerous to drive and garages aren't solving this. Edited November 6, 2018 by ottentot none
Daan
Hi, and welcome to the forum. Could be an EGR valve stuck (there are 2). replacement or block it off with an EGR blanking kit tends to solve the problem. Daan
zardos
Blocking off with a blanking kit might be an MOT fail now (depending on the vehicle)

ottentot
just fyi: sent it to Main dealer, Marshalls, and they say it's fixed: Actuator was sticking, plus seal of intake pipe (?) was not properly installed and was leaking. My fingers are crossed these have solved it. Thanks for your advice Edited November 9, 2018 by ottentot
