FridgeFreezer
Sorry for the OT but the last bike question got a better response here than the bike forums my lodger has got himself a CBR600 with a duff alternator and rectifier. There is rumour the CBR1000 rectifier/regulator will fit (they are sturdier construction aparrently) but does anyone know for sure before he makes (another) eBay cockup? And does anyone want to buy a Kawasaki ZZR600 with a starting problem?
Guest diesel_jim
I had the rectifier go duff when i had a CBR600 a few years back (FN model IIRC) that was a black unit, about 2" x 1.5" and about 1/2" thick. thats all i can remember! minivin
The rectifier regulator units are quite common on all Honda's, three yellow wires in (3ph alternator), one red wire out (positive), one black wire out (earth/negative). If the colour codes follow that practice then there should be nay probs..... funnily enough on older Honda's it's this unit that goes pop quite regularly
