Tomwykes
Hi all, new to the forum but not to land rovers. Although this is my first diesel one. My daily drive is an X military 110, fitted with a 200tdi. Last week my stop solenoid stopped working meaning I had to stall the engine to stop it. However I discovered if I had the headlights on the stop solenoid would work. Fine lived with this. But then my indicators would only work with the headlights on yesterday. But now the headlights won't turn on. I'm guessing an earth issue. The main strap, battery to chassis is good I took it off and cleaned it all up. But I can't find where any other multiple, minor, earth points are. Or is everything earthed locally? Suggestions, questions please. Tom. western
Earth cable from engine to chassis. Multi earth's on bulkhead adajent to clutch pedal housing, look for multiple plain black wires to a single screw.
Tomwykes
Thanks Western. Turns out to be the military, rotary light switch. Ignition goes through it too, time to replace the switch.
Bowie69
Squirt it with a load of contact cleaner and work it, it will most likely start working again, they are pretty robust.
