smokeyone
Hello Some time ago I found on the web (I thought it was this forum but maybe not) a write up on putting a 300tdi in a series complete with photographs and drawings of how to make the engine mounts - including a cut out missing the oil filter - really detailed information using 5mm steel - Does the article ring a bell with anybody and yes I have used the search function ... Many thanks

Bowie69
Or were you thinking about this one, albeit into a defender:
smokeyone
Thank you very much for the links - they could have been the articles but I thought (could be wrong) that the mounts designed were a bolt on job - it even had a drawing with measurements but as I say I could be wrong - Happy New Year
Bowie69
I think there was another one, you are right, but.... in the great breakage of the internet, caused by Photobucket, I think they may have disappeared.
Arjan
Ebay used to have a kit for the 300 Tdi mounts to be retro fitted and it included an template. Bolt on engine mounts I would reconsider...
Bowie69
Good mention @Arjan: https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/LAND-ROVER-DISCOVERY-300-TDI-INTO-A-SERIES-2-2A-3-ENGINE-BAY-MOUNTING-KIT/302976370129?epid=13004831073&hash=item468acc85d1:g:KIYAAOSw8FBbH--g:rk:2:pf:0 Bit pricey, but being Steve Parker I guess it would work, it is for a Disco engine that one, so be careful
Gazzar
why the manifold gasket?
Bowie69
Can't be sure but guess you may need to remove the manifolds to get enough access?
smokeyone
Thank you all for the advice - I'll look into the Steve Parker kit - so if the images have disappeared then that explains why after much searching/googling I could find no trace - I am sure there was a nice write up as well - I should have copied the articled when I found it .... Cornish Rattler
There used to be a guy on ebay that used to make and sell them on a regular basis but I've not seen them on there for a while, was thinking of getting a set off him as I was thinking of going 300 tdi but decided on going 200tdi instead
