Disco 2 Immobiliser

Recommended Posts

Have an immobiliser issue on my disco. It doesn't appear to want to turn off. I have replaced the receover in the ceiling with one I know works but still no joy.

What else can it be?

Usually corroded wiring in the nearside A pillar behind the plastic trim panel. Also be aware that plips can lose their synch with the BCU and need re-synching with Testbook or Nanocom etc.(Ie,the RF system may still be working, can be tested by Testbook or Nanocom)

As long as you can't unlock with the fob the only way to remobilise it is to use the EKA code then once remobilised you can use a tester otherwise it won't comunicate with immobilised BCU

Plan B then.I will change the ECU and BCU and try it that way as I have a spare. Thanks.

Do you have paired fob to your spare BCU? cos if not you'll immobilise that too, or if you have tester it's enough to replace the BCU no need to change the ECM too
