Replacing slave cylinder Defender TD5

Recommended Posts

It should stay attached to the clutch release arm by the clip, however it’s not uncommon for it to come out with the cylinder requiring a massive faff to get it back in - or in extreme cases splitting the engine/box to do so.

When you remove the cylinder do so very carefully, and as soon as possible get a pair of long-nose pliers in to hold the rod in place while you extract it fully.
