shaun9118 Posted March 20, 2019 Share Posted March 20, 2019 just bought this gorgeous p38 4.6 v8 but have a hard brake pedal .sometimes when going slow the pedal works fine but most of the time it stops the car but you have to push the pedal really hard is this a servo problem ?? teabag Posted March 21, 2019 Share Posted March 21, 2019 The vacuum pipe has a one way valve which can block with carbon, and will give u that symptom, you may have two valves one each end as my 3.9 disco has, so remove and soak in brake cleaner fluid or similar to clean and replace, problem gone as mine did, that’s if that your issue. 😋 1 Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
Bowie69 Posted March 21, 2019 Share Posted March 21, 2019 Doesn't the P38 have hydroassist brakes, like the RRC? If so, there are a few failure points, the sphere, the pressure switch and the pump.
