Gazzar
I doubt it. It's too big/small. It's going to shrink/swell. The hamster will stick/fall off.
Retroanaconda
How are you getting on with the pump @Mo Murphy? I find myself considering changing my water pump when I do the timing belt as a preventative measure but fear I could end up in the same boat. The pump is an Airtex one that I fitted years ago and it’s done a couple of hundred thousand miles since then with no issues so far.
Mo Murphy
So far so good James, no leaks to date. HTH Mo
Retroanaconda
Thanks. Given mine is working fine at the moment I think I’ll buy one, but keep it on the shelf and refit the Airtex one assuming all is well when I take it off. Fairly quick and easy to change if need be down the line.
Sigi_H
I saw that thread quite late. Once I bought a TD waterpump for my 200Tdi by accident. I found that the bolt circle of the holes on the pulley was smaller (or bigger. I can't remember). I adjusted it by filing the holes in the pulley oval. The pump worked and fitted perfectly
