Nope ended up going to a mates to help him clean off his series3 chassis and engine ready to roll it into a garage for an overhaul. Just tried again but its solid. Might have to gently tease it with an impact

Already have the washer and a new sump seal sat waiting.. Just need it off... Flogging spanner might be worth a try

Already have the washer and new gasket.. Its still off at the moment, rear crankshadt seal needs replacing
