Wrinkles
Hi, We have an old oxford bantam 180 arc welder running on single phase. We have used it for days on end when it suddenly stopped. It no longer hums when plugged in. We have checked the terminals and all is fine, so opened it up and drained the top so we could have a look. There was some rusting on what looks like aluminium plates which we have cleaned, apart from that everything looks fine. Checked the earth underneath with probe and joined other end to the live where it comes in and all is fine there. The live feed continues down to the coil, but where the copper exits the coil there is nothing. Does anyone have any ideas that would help us get it going again? Any help would be greatly appreciated.
