Green200tdi
Hello all My 86 110 the rear light loom goes through the chassis am I right in thinking the td5 loom runs along the top of the chassis? and is there enough room to do this on the 110 as seems a problem running thu chassis and orange plug won’t fit 😳 also when I want to change my rear cross member 🤔 yes that will need doing soon😂 as i have installed the front loom just the last little bit now it’s done 😊 Edited May 27, 2019 by Green200tdi
western
Loom from engine bay to rear still goes through chassis, then out of right main rail inner face up into right rear corner, then across back of fuel tank to left side then up into left rear corner, it cannot go through the rear crossmember as it would get snagged by the towing bracket bolts. oneandtwo
The td5 / tdci has much larger holes in the chassis for the wiring looms to pass through than pre 98. td5 / tdci wiring loom exits from the right rail outer face not inner face as stated above. Green200tdi
So all I would need to do is make the entry and exit holes a little bigger as the orange plug is shade bigger? might sound silly question is the chassis empty inside? if I attach td5 loom to original loom then pull thugh 🤔
Retroanaconda
I would run it in conduit either along the top or the side of the chassis rain. There’s space on top alongside the fuel pipes.

Lovely thanks it’s in conduit already and I’ve run a load of new electrical tape over the conduit so just a matter of cable ties 😂 Edited May 28, 2019 by Green200tdi
