sotal
I posted before on here about my clutch pedal not moving and it was suggested that I spray the pivot with penetrating oil. It has taken me this long to even take a look at it! Having had a little look am I correct in thinking that the pivot is underneath a cover in the engine bay? It looks to me like I need to remove the straight headed screws (6 of them I think) on the cover to see the pivot. Is that correct? If so is it safe to do so? I take it nothing will spring out? Thanks
rtbarton
No problem, it's just a cover, it doesn't hold anything in place.

lo-fi
You can see either side of the pivot pin outside the pedal box too, so attack it with penetrating fluid wherever you can.
