door rebuild

Recommended Posts

hi all,  just had my 110 91 reg front doors back from paint shop, i was wondering is it better to rehang the doors before i put the window, locks back on, or is it better on the bench, trouble is don't want to get them scratched, any ideas, dd

Which ever way you prefer,  doesn't really make a difference!

Maybe easier to hang it first as it will be less weight to hold/balance while trying to hang after?

I would hang the doors first then fit the parts. Make sure you fit the latches first, if you are fitting new runners mark the frames where the self tappers go in  and use the old runners as cutting templates. Take your time they aren't difficult just fiddly.
