Steevo
I have just purchased a 1989 Land Rover 90 (2.5 n/a petrol) and wish to fit power steering. I can find plenty of advice for fitting to 200tdi or 300tdi even n/a d but not for petrol engine. I just wondered what advice anyone could offer regarding the type of PAS box I should go for and any other info. Many thanks.
Snagger
Same components as for a diesel. Just make sure you have the pump bracket on the alternator mount and the multi-groove crank pulley, which I think was standard on all engines of the era anyway (stand to be corrected on that). Steevo
Thanks Carloz, As I said, I saw lots of posts for diesel conversions. Just wanted clarification. What pump would you recommend? Edited August 14, 2019 by Steevo
Snagger
19J or 200Tdi Defender. Both are the same, as far as I know, and will fit straight into the mounting bracket below the alternator and line up with the crank pulleys.
