RX8 seats

Recommended Posts

HI,

so I’ve fitted mazda RX8 seats in my 110 all went well with passenger seat as it’s manual but the drivers seat is electric and does everything it should except move back and forward both pins at the motor are live🤔 ( I find bit strange)

wired in as

Thick grey, 12v

thick purple, earth

blue, heated seat (not using at mo)

all working but back and forth🙄

any ideas?

If both pins of the motor are showing live, it means that the circuit is earth switched.

I assume the motor has a live feed on one of the pins, if you connect the other pin to earth the motor should run.

All all I know is that if you

live the grey

and

earth the purple it should all work

Well they are in looking and feeling great,

still no sign of back and forward motor working but can live with that for now,

mind you removed one of the runners to find what I thought was the problem

always the way never an easy fix 🙄

you can and you can't, if i want to change a fuse on the td5 under seat fuse box thats ok get your hand in there if you want to remove one of the batterys seat out but all batters no days are no maintenance so din't really matter tbh  jump starting id use Anderson plug outside the vehicle so its win win

That's a shame, my lightweight has under seat tanks, and under seat fillers, so they're out.

Nevermind.

Thanks!

Nice colour combo with the carpet 👍

Don’t worry the carpet is going in the bin going black 👍
