Snowbird
I have replaced the rear tub cross rails and have found out how poorly these were put together. The mounting holes in the floor are not equal. The mount on one side is 3/8" further back than on the other. Should I just bolt the new cross frames where the old ones were or should I drill new holes to square up the frames? lo-fi
I think it probably depends what makes you happy. Either not drilling extra holes, or knowing that it's all straight. It's a classic Land Rover conundrum.
Snowbird
Hi lo-fi I think as long as the rubber pads sit on the 6 pads that are on the chassis, then I will leave well alone. If not I'll drill new holes and square everything up. That will just leave empty holes in the floor which I can fill with a pop rivet. Thanks
lo-fi
Sounds like a solid plan
