Aitch69
I have a 2005 freelander 1 Diesel and I’ve noticed that the heater is only blowing warm air even when the car is up to normal temperature I wonder if anybody else has experienced this problem and if I manage to resolve it
FridgeFreezer
They do take a long time to warm up - does yours have the auxiliary diesel-fired heater under the front bumper or the electric PTC booster heater?
smallfry
Mine has the fuel burning heater and it is up to normal temp in two miles or about four to five minutes.

Aitch69
I have carried out a bleed today and the temperature dial goes up to 12 o’clock now and the heater is working 100% better , not as hot as I am use to in other cars but ok
FridgeFreezer
Glad you've improved it... the TD4 is so efficient it takes ages to warm up. Earlier models got an optional Webasto Thermo-top V diesel-fired water heater mounted in front of the offside front wheel behind the bumper, the stainless exhaust pipe sticking down is a giveaway. Later models I believe they moved to an electric PTC heater in the dash but not sure if that's standard or optional or how you'd find it - the RAVE manuals might show it.
