Snake oil for sale

Recommended Posts

I put a sunroof in my 109 twenty odd years ago and it has never leaked.  Other part of the roof have, but not that.  I can’t remember what it came off in the scrap yard.  I have a suspicion it was a Nissan.  It has never needed the seals treating, either.  That must be something specific to LR seals.

Mine sunroof once leaked on a fiat bravo I had (brilliant car before you all start). Took me ages to find out what was wrong with it, I tried all sorts of greases and sealing stuff. In the end it turned out there were drain tubes that ran down the a pillars to get rid of the rain water which were blocked by leaves near the skuttle panel. 😣

Typical of the RRC and Discovery, too.

Excellent thread :D

How about the exact opposite? Here is the best thing I ever invented, it was absolutely brilliant for placing the rope on a low point to get more line pull. We sold 14 and it took David Boyer 2 years. (I felt bad). So yeh, anti snake oil.

Merry Christmas everyone.

Now we all get odd electrical problems once in a while. I have one at the moment. I've thrown away my multimeter and ordered one of these..... I think it's the only explanation sometimes so I anticipate this *diagnostic tool* will be all the rage for 2020. (Forum bulk buy?)

You may well laugh but I bet you that when this arrives (along with a new relay) my indicators will work again :P
