Just wondered if anyone can tell me how i would know if my Landrover Defender Td5 (06 reg) has a battery backed up sounder (before i attempt to take out the battery!) Cheers! crwoody Posted December 3, 2019 Share Posted December 3, 2019 (edited) You should be able to tell by the sound of it if you set the alarm off, it's a fairly distinct, (though not all that loud,) sound compared to the feeble car horn noise if that's what's fitted. In any case you should observe the correct procedure for disconnecting the battery anyway. It should be in the handbook.
