monkie
Happy New Year everyone. What projects do you have planned for 2020? My rewire has carried over from 2019 as that didn't get done. I'm also going to sort out my doors so they shut properly and finish the sound and thermal insulation to the back of my 110.

You've reminded me of a job to add to the list I keep forgetting. The past two MOTs I had I got an advisory to tighten some slack in front N/S wheel bearing. western
In no particular order, Refurbish all 4 brake calipers with new stainless pistons & new seals & pads. Replace the bulkhead left foot well when better weather arrives Get the new doors painted & fitted Fit the rear side window seal kit to stop the glass rattle With Mr VB's assistance see if we can get the GKN overdrive working properly Hopefully buy & fit a eberspacher or planar air heater under the cubby box Thinks that's enough to be starting a new year with. Jon W
Basically a load of jobs which didn’t get done during the rebuild last year, but I had to put on hold or it would have never got back on the road and funds didn’t allow at the time. Paint, Swap sides, rear door and roof on the 90. Rebuild front axle which is sat on he work bench waiting to be assembled Loads of little bits I got for xmas and birthday And most importantly of all get out and use it as much as possible. Get someone to get the series 2 running properly then decide what to do with it. But 1st of all sell a load of stuff I have accumulated over the last decade and free up a bit more space to work on things and to keep the peace in the house hold (keep an eye in he for sale section soon). wonder how much will have been achieved By this time next year
TSD
I will be mostly making incredibly slow progress at not getting the Ibex built...

Peaklander
Continue getting my 110CSW 300TDi up to standard. That means ensure that the shocker mounts at the axles are strong, decide whether to fit ATBs to front and back or lockers, fit a recently purchased secondhand TD5 Safari snorkle whilst somehow making it properly watertight. Then go on at least two longish trips in Spring and Autumn. Just have to agree with SWIMBO as to just how far. I want to revisit the Balkans but continue to Turkey. We also thought about Iceland but might have left it too late for the ferry (and that really needs to be July/Aug anyway).

I did buy some paint last June so it might even happen. Don't hold your breaths though. 😉 Mo

Blanco
21 hours ago, Arjan said: Love to see some more on that saw mill........ You can see the website *here*, as far as I know it is still available new if you have £60,000 plus vat, but Loglogic have moved on to specialist vehicles and the domestic sawmill market seems to be largely supplied by Woodmizer now which although not such a good machine it benefits from mass production in the final price and Woodmizer do in-house finance on new machines. I bought this one in France from an English friend and I went to a lot of trouble at the time to get it a French registration document, as a trailer it weighs in at just under 3 tons so in France it requires a 'carte grise'. I still have the paper carte grise from 5 years ago, not sure if it would still be possible to update that as I don't have a French address any more. In the UK of course there is no such requirement. Mine is getting on a bit now.... built in Feb 2000, but has less than 3000hrs on the clock, and I have seen machines with 10,000 hrs still going strongly. Last few times I fired it up I seem to have had niggles such as hose failures, and the saw head wants new scrapers but basically it is a straightforward machine to work on and Loglogic are great at providing the back-up, they have all the CNC programs for the parts so anything required can be dialed in and re-produced. I had interest in it in France at €19,000 and was tempted to sell, but the guy only turned up with €14,000 on the day and as I was leaving the country I said 'Non' , hitched it up and took it with me. Since then it has cut a few fence posts and sleepers, but it takes up a huge chunk of the shed and I really need to move on with other stuff now. I am going to advertise it on Ebay, hopefully today and see what I can get for it, I am out of touch with the forestry scene a bit now so I don't really know what to expect. monkie
Interesting. Would it sell better in a specialist magazine like tractor and machinery or something like that?
