SpannerSam
Aup I'm after the paint code for my 1990 200tdi so I can order some touch up paint. Its blue but the VIN number doesnt match any of the paint codes I've found and the paint code area on the chassis plate is blank. I've attached a picture below if anyone could point me in the right direction please? Cheers
western
Arles blue code is JUH, same blue as my 1989 110CSW. For some unknown reason LR never stamped the paint code on 90/110/Defender VIN plates, mines is unstamped too.

I'm still suprised as to why the vin number doesnt contain the paint code though, all the other posts about codes all suggest the vin number but I've nothing of the sort?
western
VIN has no bearing on or has paint info within its make up, it only refers to manufacturer, wheelbase, body, sterling, transmission, engine type,

Retroanaconda
The VIN plate often has the paint code stamped in from around Td5 era onwards. Before that they never bothered. Nice looking car. Those early side stripes are quite rare these days.
